Today is the first day of the spring season. That means spring is already here, before the Chinese people celebrates their Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival.

The blog shown in the title link has a nice and brief mention on today's significance to the Chinese.

One also needs to be aware of the significance of the first day of spring coming before the Chinese New Year. Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, but the Chinese Zodiac sign is actually based on Solar Terms. A brief explanation can be found here.

So what this means is that babies that are born today onwards are under the Tiger sign! This is before the Chinese New Year itself. It can be somewhat confusing. But as long as one keeps in mind that Chinese New Year may not be same day as the first day of spring, then knowing which Chinese Zodiac sign will be less confusing..

Got rejected by Google Ads

Not too long ago, thought of signing up for Google Ads out of curiosity, since the "Monetize" option is always prominent whenever one is logged into Blogger.


So, I followed through the instruction steps, and waited.
After 48hrs, a non-replyable email from Google came informing me that this blog has been rejected for Google Ads placement. Reason? 

Unacceptable Content

Oops ...  
Does Google prefer only blogs with specific content, rather than the general content we have here in this blog site?
Or just that there haven't been much updates here?
I've seen sites with only 1 page with lots of outgoing links that have Google Ads placement.
Hmm .... go figure.

Tiring and Exhausting, yet Interesting and Fun

In the past few weeks, we had been shopping for baby products as if they're going out of fashion! 
It's been tiring and exhausting. Not easy to go to shopping malls a few times in a week after work in order to survey and shop for baby products, especially for those on promotions.
It's been interesting and fun. There are loads of baby stuff now compared to the years of yore. It's been very interesting to learn about all the stuff a modern baby can have now. Lucky fellas to be born now  :)


As of now, our biz site is slowly being updated with more and more items as we "bake", as in build, more of them.


Though this has left less time for this blog here, it won't be fully abandoned either. From time to time, we'll update this site even to just continue to chart our journey together  :)

There's been quite a long lapse lately on posting on this site.
As usual, it's RL that gets in the way. Some are blogable, some are just forgettable. 
Hopefully consistency can be established once more.


In the quiet period, there's been some developments.

The rain continues…

It is indeed pouring rain at the moment…

As was mentioned in this earlier post, first there was drought. But now, it’s the opposite.

Today my Gmail contains a mail from IBM China’s HR department, offering to interview me for a position in IBM China.

3rd job interview offer in 5 weeks! After the barren drought, this is soaking wet period.

However, since I have secured a job here in KL and considering the position on offer in China is one that I have no prior working experience in, this decision is one that won’t be too difficult to make.   

When it rains...

Everyone knows how the idiom goes... "When it rains, it pours".

Today got called by a recruiter for a job somewhere in Cyberjaya. This is her second call. The first call was to ask me if i'm interested to apply to that particular job. Having expressed my interest, I had not heard from her until today, 3 long months since the first call. This second call is to let me know of the interview offer for the job.

Now since I started my current job 3.5 weeks ago, this is the second interview offer. Last week, I attended another interview for a job in Technology Park Malaysia, Sri Petaling.

And this is after months of silence on the interview front after loads and loads of job applications.

Occasionally, we use Chinese herbs in our cooking and quite often at times, get stumped on the English name for those herbs. I'm sure we're not the only one.

Long time no see...

Oops ... it's been a long time since the last post here.

There had been certain things in real life recently that put some dampers to our blogging effort.

However ... as they say, service is now resumed :)

We had done a DIY trip to Taiwan recently, and are now looking to share details of our trip soon.

Besides that, we have compiled some reviews on restaurants we've been to, mostly Klang Valley's. Those experience will be shared too, in time.

Something happened ...

This blog will be the place for rantings, musings, opinions etc. by both cw and et.
Hopefully not too many rantings, more on others :)

As for me and et, something happened circa end of year 2007, and we became together sometime during last year, beginning at someplace in Malaysia, and at a somewhat ungodly hour for some :p
